International Women in Engineering Scholarships at the University of Tasmania

The Australian Maritime College (AMC), a specialty institute of the University of Tasmania, is offering fantastic scholarships to international women in engineering.

Scholarships are also available for overseas female students pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours (P4F1) degree with a major in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or Marine and Offshore Engineering, as well as some postgraduate specialization.

Eligibility Criteria

Female international students are eligible for the award.

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in the University’s Master of Engineering (Maritime Design) degree or a Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or Marine and Offshore Engineering course.

Other aspects will be taken into accounts, such as community service, leadership qualities, and motivation levels.

For the term of the scholarship, participants must remain enrolled full-time (100%) in the approved course of study and earn the least Pass (4.0/7.0) in each unit.

English Language Requirement: Applicants must show that they have met the University of Saskatchewan’s English language competency standards.

Scholarship Benefits

The benefits of the University of Tasmania International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship include;

  • Undergraduate students: Recipients will receive one payment of $4,000 each semester ($8,000 in total), to be used towards educational costs.
  • Postgraduate students: Recipients will receive one payment of $4,000, to be used towards educational costs.

Application Procedures

Students are assessed automatically for the International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.
